Penetration testing with corona virus

As a penetration tester we look for weakness in the system to get in and pivot to other systems. Similarly, the COVID-19 virus does the same it will attack a person with a weak immune system once it gets in it will exploit the host cells now that the host will become carrier so that it can victimize the next less immune person and cycle goes on. 

People with the underlying condition are higher in risk to get infected

•       Chronic respiratory 8.0%
•       Hypertension 8.4%
•       Cancer 7.6%

If the person does not have any of this condition the morality rate is less than 0.9% means there less vulnerable we can’t penetrate them easily better to search for another target.

Penetration tester or virus work on the same principle targets the weakest first. Viruses will attack most prone that are cardiovascular disease people.

Now we were able to find the target next step is to find how to get in.

When we do remote pentest  we try to get in through open ports likewise virus get in a cell through ACE2 portal. COVID19 has little projection that basically connects to the ACE2 receptor’s it gets in the cell create destruction. Similarly when we penetrate the network we do the same kind of some serious business.
